Ogah Lays Foundation For AE-FUNAI Ultra Modern Market

The honourable member representing Ezza South and Ikwo Federal Constituency, Hon Comrade Chinedu Ogah, OON has laid the foundation for the building of students market in Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike Ikwo. 

Ogah while addressing the host community at the event, called on them to join hands with the university management to develop the area and make the institution one of the best in Nigeria. 

He commended the dogged efforts of the university Vice Chancellor, Prof Chinedu Nwachuba whom he said has sacrificed much in developing the Federal institution, especially in facilitating timely accreditation of courses, employment of host community youths as staff and attracting projects to the school.

Comrade Ogah warned that he and other stakeholders of Ikwo would not take it lightly with any group or person perpetrating violence in the area with the name of fighting for land.

 He however stressed that with the cordial relationship existing between management of the school and the federal government, no person from the host community with good result will stay without employment. He supported the market project with half a million naira.

In his response, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Chinedu Nwajuba lauded the quality representation, patriotism and philanthropic disposition of Comrade Chinedu Ogah which he said has distinguished him among his peers. He noted that the ultra modern market will ease the challenges of students going outside the university community to buy things, adding that the market will also add to the economic development of its host community.

Also, in a show of attitude of gratitude, the  member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Hon Chinedu Ogah today paid a thank you visit to the ancestral home of Ikwo Noyo clan.

According to the federal lawmaker, his visits was to say thank you to elders and custodians of Ikwo tradition for standing by him and for the truth during and after the 2019 election where in his stolen mandate was restored at the Court.

Hon Ogah in his speech thanked Ikwo elders for supporting him irrespective of pressures mounted on them by the opposition party in power to flaunt the due process before the election.

He urged them to be resolute in keeping the culture of Ikwo land and to always work in synergy to ensure that Ikwo is in unity through mutual understanding born out of love and peace for each other which the clan is known for.

He gave them cow, money, Fertilizers, Yam and other items. Youths and women were not left  in the lawmaker’s gesture.
